“Junko Wada is a painter and a dancer. As she uses a brush for her paintings, she paints with her body and the dance becomes a three- dimensional painting in space. Both painting and dance are abstract and have a very personal style with a faint relation to traditional Japanese art.
She collaborates with sound artists Akio Suzuki, Rolf Julius, Hans Peter Kuhn and others, with choreographer Sasha Waltz and a large number of fellow artists.”
